the face of hypervigilance

Definition: /hy·per·vig·i·lance/ (hi″per-vij´ĭ-lans) the condition of maintaining an abnormal awareness of and responsiveness to environmental stimuli, and/or scanning of the environment for threats.

Personal Objective: to curb this tendency in myself. Way too exhausting.

Ah yes, I recognize this face. Going around like this makes a person old and weary. You can set it aside.

Oh, I couldn't agree more.

Perfect. Familiar face...

Ha. Yes. Would that one could just will it aside (though a worthy goal indeed). I'm spending good money & a lot of time to get a (diagnosed) case of this under control. (Seriously) So I shall sign off without blogger 'handle.'

To the ladies who have commented & to diana:muse--lovely weekend.

I know the hyper vigilant face. It gave me a forehead wrinkle like a canopener's been taken to my head.

I have lovely Victor figurine. I keep him under glass.
