an honor and a privilege

At 6:05 a.m., I was 177th in line to vote. Our particular bastion of liberalism (aka the Upper West Side of Manhattan) ALWAYS delivers a robust voter turnout, but today... well, I've not seen anything like this before.

Did you see this week's New Yorker cover with the blue light at the end of the long, dark, red tunnel?
