Aren't these swell? I was happy to come upon them. So, what do you think is going on with the itty bitty printed stamps from Kenya? Are they a gift from Kenyan Customs? Maybe they're consolation for the traveler who must inevitably return to her/his residence in [ not-Kenya ] where the closest she/he will come to seeing that kind of natural magnificence is on the itty bitty photo stamps in her/his passport. Or maybe they're just stamps. As in postage.
Off the top, what are the shapes, sizes and ink colors of the stamps in your current and expired passports? Do you have a favorite?

I love this! A fabulous idea.
I love every stamp I have - they evoke powerful memories of the trips I've taken.
I have some favorites, such as the colorful stamp bearing the image of Petra that I got to enter Jordan. It makes every customs officer give that page a double-take! Also, the study visa I have from Israel has an embossed seal, giving my passport page some unique texture! Nothing beats a dog-eared, well-worn passport. :-)
I love looking at old passports. My favorite passport is the one I had in the 80s, which included several jaunts to Europe and my time living in the USSR.
Because I lived in Kenya as a child, I love the top passport with the elephants of course!
And the top quotation from Marcel Proust, on the right, is really wonderful...
